THE MOST DOG-FRIENDLY PUBS IN BRIGHTON & HOVE

The Most Dog-Friendly Pubs in Brighton and Hove

If you’re looking for a dog-friendly pub in Brighton, you’re in luck – there are literally hundreds to choose from.

However, pinning down your choice to just one can be a lot easier said than done. So we thought we’d lend a helping hand.

In this blog, join us as we highlight five of the best dog-friendly pubs Brighton has to offer, based on the advice of our very own expert: Daisy the Goldendoodle.

1. The Devil’s Dyke Pub

The aptly named Devil’s Dyke pub is situated on, you guessed it, the Devil’s Dyke National Trust – one of the best dog walking locations that Brighton has to offer.

With a fantastic range of drinks to choose from for humans and dogs alike, the pub is incredibly spacious and very well-equipped to deal with all sorts of tired legs after a long walk on the South Downs.

2. The Robin Hood

With dog treats and bowls available at the entrance, The Robin Hood goes above and beyond to put the needs of its pooch pals above all else.

There’s also a wide range of chairs and sofas the owners don’t mind dogs lying on, and each time we’ve walked in with our dog, Daisy, she’s always received the biggest welcome. Even more so than us (though we don’t mind).

3. The Long Man of Wilmington

The sister pub to Hove Place, The Long Man of Wilmington may be better known for being named after the famous landmark but it’s one of the most dog-friendly pubs as well.

In fact, during most of our visits there – and especially on a Sunday – Daisy has been given leftover pieces of chicken and beef in a food bowl delivered by the chef himself. Talk about going the extra mile.

4. Sidewinder

If you and your pooch love nothing more than hanging out in a beer garden, Sidewinder in Kemptown provides you with four to choose from.

Also offering a great selection of local beers and lots of American fast food, this Laine pub is like a Tardis and will provide you and your dog with ample space to enjoy a drink or three.

5. The Caxton Arms

With its very own ‘Dog of the Week’ feature wall, a visit to The Caxton Arms is the ideal way to spend an afternoon – especially when travelling by train.

Located only a stone’s throw away from Brighton railway station, The Caxton Arms is well-stocked with vegan dog treats and also has an awesome beer garden available – the ideal combination for you and your dog.
