Which types of drinks is it good for? 🍺
Good Companions boasts an impressive selection of craft beers, lagers and non-alcoholic beers from local breweries like Unbarred Brewery, 360 Degrees Brewing and Beak.
But even if you're not a beer connoisseur, they offer a range of other drinks as well, including various gins and cocktails. So there's a little something for everyone.
Does it do food? 🍔
Absolutely! Good Companions offers a mouth-watering menu featuring loaded fries, amazing nachos, BBQ smokehouse-style meats, burgers, quesadillas and loaded tater tots. It's a bit of a foodie's paradise!
Does it do roast dinners? 🍗
Abso-frigging-lutely! While they may be a bit more on the expensive side, they’re worth every penny and come in very generous portions. So you certainly won’t go hungry.
They’re also fun to watch being served as they travel down the old-school conveyor belt system they have in place.

Does it have a beer garden? ☀️
Yes, and it’s absolutely huge! Both the front and back beer gardens provide plenty of space to relax and enjoy a drink or ten.
They also have patio heaters and booths in the back beer garden, meaning neither the rain nor the cold can stop you from enjoying your pint outside.
Is it dog friendly? 🐶
Definitely! I sometimes think they even prefer dogs to humans, so make sure to bring your furry friend along with you. Dogs deserve pints too… (although of water of course).
Does it have any games or activities available? 🎲
Not really, but the vibe is fantastic and more than makes up for it!
Does it run a pub quiz? 🧐
Yes, every Tuesday through Quiz Actually. We’ve gone a couple of times ourselves (we even came second once) so can vouch for how much fun they are. They even bust out a spreadsheet during the quiz itself so you can keep tabs on how well (or how badly) you’re doing.
Does it show live sport? ⚽️
While they don’t show much in the way of Premier League games, they do have TVs available and always show the big sporting events, such as the Euros, Six Nations and various World Cups. So you’ll be able to get your sporting fix if you ask nicely.
How far a walk is it from the nearest train station? 🚂
It’s approximately a 13-minute walk from Brighton train station, making it easily accessible (although largely uphill). You’ll also walk past a couple of other pubs along your way, so it’s a great place to start or end a pub crawl around Seven Dials.

Good Companions is an amazing pub in the heart of Seven Dials offering an ever-changing selection of great craft beers from brewers like Unbarred and Beak. It’s a firm Off To The Local favourite, that’s for sure.
The front and back beer gardens are also some of the biggest and most lively in Brighton! So make sure to check both of them out.
